The opening round draw for Queensland’s portion of Australia Cup soccer qualification has been released.
“It’s fantastic to see the popularity of the Kappa Queensland Cup continuing to grow each year, with more and more clubs from every part of the state keen to get involved which is testament to the quality of competition on show each year,” FQ General Manager – Leagues and Officials Slater Asnicar said.
“A record 307 teams have signed up to compete this year across the Men’s, Women’s and Under 18 Boys and Girls competitions, making the 2026 edition of the Kappa Queensland Cup an absolute must-watch.
“We look forward to welcoming last year’s winners back to defend their title, and to seeing the skills of our state’s best footballers on show across each region as the Kappa Queensland Cup kicks off for 2026.”
Sunshine Coast teams will start entering the competition in Round 2.
Nambour Yandina United are scheduled to host St Albans, Beerwah Glasshouse will host Palm Beach, Wombye host AC Carina, and Coolum travel to North Brisbane.
Other Coast teams enter in Round 3 or later.
