Bugs heading back to Suburban rugby

Wynnum will field it’s A and Reserve grade sides in Queensland Suburban Rugby for the first time in eight years.

“This move marks an exciting next step for the club as we continue to grow participation, strengthen our playing group, and build a strong future for rugby in Wynnum,” the club said in a Facebook post.

“We would also like to sincerely thank Sunshine Coast Rugby for welcoming and supporting our club over the past seven seasons – the relationships, competition, and memories formed during that time have been greatly valued by our players and members.”

The Bugs joined Sunshine Coast rugby after a the 2018 season in which the first half of both Suburban and Sunshine Coast seasons were merged.
